Paola, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA,) holds a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Purdue University Fort Wayne and a Bachelor’s degree in History from Indiana University. She has experience in individual, group, and family counseling for both adolescents and adults. Her primary goal is to guide clients through their recovery journey, promoting freedom from disordered eating and body image distress through a weight-inclusive approach. Paola employs a combination of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to facilitate her clients' reconnection with their bodies, emotions, and core values. She also strives to help clients find a deeper understanding of themselves as it relates to depression, anxiety, and perfectionism. Beyond her clinical work, Paola is deeply committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment, particularly for BIPOC and LGBTQIA individuals, where they can explore their unique experiences of oppression. She utilizes a Relational Cultural Therapy (RCT) perspective to support clients in this aspect of their healing journey.
